His whole body hurt, even with pain potion and lying in bed all tucked up with pillows to support his head everything still hurt. But at least he wasn't in the hospital wing and all he could do was wait for word to reach Vinayak. Because if anything was going to make this better it would be his perfect little lover, it would be Vinayak... Theo sighed some and gripped tighter onto the pillow that still sort of smelt like the boy he loved more than anything, all of the words that Aedan had said to him dancing in his head.
Faggot, fairy, maybe you just wanted me on top of you...
Theo closed his eyes tight and pressed his face into the pillow as he let out a small sob, then another. And soon enough he was crying hard into the pillow he was gripping onto, all the self loathing and guilt came rushing back up to the surface. He was going to hell, Theo was going to hell and there was nothing that could stop it. He was disgusting and he deserved what had just happen to him right? Because it felt like he did. He wasn't even suppose to be born, God never wanted him to be born he was a mistake that got his ass handed to him because he did something so so stupid. Why was he so stupid?
His whole body was shaking and it just made everything hurt more as sobs racked his body. He didn't even notice the door slowly cracking open... He just was lost in a pit of self inflicted hate and guilt.

What? What had happened to Theo?
Oh, God ... oh, no ... he was the worst boyfriend in the universe. He had slept in. He had woken up, looked at the time, and simply accepted the fact that he wouldn't be eating breakfast. And as he slept, cozy in his bed, Theo was being beaten in the dining hall.
Granted, it wasn't as though Vinayak could have fought Aedan off, but he could at least have gotten in the way! He could have grabbed Aedan's shoulder and deflected the violence onto himself! He could have suffered along with his lover!
How had he just been sleeping? How could he have done such a thing?
Vinayak did his best to keep the tears from rolling down his cheeks as he ran toward Theo's dorm room. Oh, he didn't care if he missed class. He didn't care if no one would give him the notes. In this moment, he didn't even care if they discovered the truth about him and Theo. All that mattered was being there with his love.
He burst through the door, slammed it behind him, and was immediately kneeling beside the bed with one of Theo's hands in both of his own. Vinayak pressed his lips against Theo's hand, completely unsure as to where his injuries were. All he was sure of was that he had to be here, now, and willing to stay.
Oh, and he was.
"Theo," he murmured against the skin of his lover's hand, "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you. I hope you can forgive me. Please forgive me."

"Huh?" He said looking up and forcing himself to smile some when he saw Vinayak. "Oh hi..." He said softly looking down sniffling some and swallowing back his tears as he moved over some to make room for Vinayak to lay down next to him. Even though the boy seemed to want to keep his distance not to make his injuries worst. What a sweetheart, thinking about him like this and saying sorry over something he couldn't control.
"Shush shush..." He whispered softly wiping at his eyes before inhaling some. "It's not your fault at all love, don't you think for a second it was. I did something stupid and was unprepared to deal with the consequences." He said wincing a little a he gave Vinayak hand a tug because he wanted the boy to come and join him in bed. More kisses were pressed to the back of his hand and Theo smiled softly before sighing. "Don't blame yourself love, you already deal with too much guilt. Just... hold me please?"
That was really all he wanted. The whole reason he kicked up a fuss in the hospital was because he wanted to be here so the love of his life can hold him. The reason Searfina had to drag him basically kicking and screaming was because he just wanted to be alone with Vinayak.

Oh, no. Theo turned his head to look at Vinayak, and his jaw was black and blue and swollen. His neck ... what was wrong with his neck? Had Aedan tried to strangle him? What on earth had even happened? How had Theo found himself on the receiving end of Aedan's wrath?
Vinayak squeezed his eyes shut, hard, for a long moment. He couldn't go bawling all over the place. That was not the supportive thing to do. The supportive thing to do was to stay strong, to communicate to Theo that his injuries weren't even noticeable.
Theo tugged on his hand, and Vinayak made his way gingerly into the bed, pressing his front against Theo's back just the way he had when they were ... well ... making love. He wanted to wrap his arms around his lover, but he wasn't sure about the injuries, so he just pressed against Theo and put his hand on the other boy's shoulder.
God, he had so many questions! "Where do you hurt? I want to hold you, but I'm scared of hurting you. I don't know where to put my hands. And ... what happened?" He punctuated this question with a kiss on the back of Theo's neck. "Why did he hurt you? I don't understand. I didn't get the full story."
He stroked Theo's shoulder, as gently as possible, just running his hand along the shoulder and the bicep ... God, those biceps ...

Theo could tell that he was trying to hold alot of his feeling back, trying to stay strong and supportive. Theo reached out with a slightly shaking hand and brushed his hand over his cheek before feeling him move in and behind him to hold him and Theo's eyes fell closed. Better, this was so much better and everything he needed and wanted right now. Just to be held by the man he loved and not think about what happen and any words that were said back in the dining hall.
Vinayak was being so gently with him and Theo smiled. Even though he knew he was going to be okay it touched his heart that Vinayak didn't want to hurt him, it made him feel loved which is something he really needed to feel right now.
"I'm sort of just sore all over," He said with a sigh, shifting his weight some before adding. "But don't worry pain potions are kicking it, so it's alright to hold me." Why did it happen? Well that was a long story and one he didn't want to talk about right now. Because he was still so upset that Hallie didn't tell him he was sleeping with him! "I went to talk to him about Hallie and let's.. let's just leave it at that for now. I just don't really want to talk about it right now."

"All right," Vinayak murmured as he wrapped his arms around Theo and snuggled even closer. So, Theo didn't want to talk about it right now, and that was his right. It was foolish of Vinayak to feel, even for a moment, that little pang of hurt. Selfish, really. Theo had gone through something terrible, and Vinayak was going to lie here worrying about the fact that he didn't want to talk about it just yet? Theo would tell him eventually ... right?
Yes, you idiot. What a dumb thing to worry about. What a selfish thing to think of. What's wrong with you?
"There's a story my mother used to tell me, when ... whenever my classmates beat me up. It's an old Indian folk tale. Would you like to hear it?" Theo seemed pleased by the idea, which made Vinayak start to feel a little better. So he wasn't completely useless!
"All right," he said, lifting one hand to stroke gently at Theo's neck. "So, there was this terrible lion named Bhasuraka. He was the king of a big forest, and he liked to hunt. He would hunt, kill other animals, eat them ... but he often killed more animals than he was able to eat. The other animals were very afraid of him, and they started to worry that he would end up killing every single one of them, and that there would be no more animals in the forest.
"So all of the other animals got together to have a conversation with Bhasuraka. They explained why they were worried, and they presented him with a plan. Every day, one animal would be sent to his lair. He wouldn't have to hunt, but he would get enough food and he wouldn't eat up all of the animals in the forest. Bhasuraka agreed, and that was what they did for a while."

He felt bad telling V that he didn't want to talk about it because he knew the boy just wanted to help but Theo couldn't help it. He just wanted to forget about it, he wanted to forget the words that were thrown at him and the punches that went along with each one. But still Vinayak was just trying to help and Theo didn't mean to just snap like that, he was just so hurt and scared and he didn't want to think about it anymore. So he just closed his eyes and focused on anything else, from his breathing to the way Vinayak smelt to the feeling of the sheets of the bed...
Then he was asked if he wanted to hear a story, and a Indian tale at that. Theo nodded and smiled some, yes that sounded nice. He always loved learning about different cultures and a story was the sort of distraction he needed right now. "Yes please tell me." He said as he turned around so he was facing Vinayak.
And while it made him feel somewhat childish to be so wrapped up in a story like this, it was just what he needed. Vinayak soft smooth voice which made him melt and brought some much comfort with the words being said. And the way his fingers gently ran over his next. "But they couldn't keep it up forever." Theo said now very concerned for the other animals in this forest. "Bhasur-aka? Is that how you say it? Well the can't keep sending him animals soon enough he would still kill them all. And I don't suppose breeding faster than he can kill them is the solution."

Vinayak offered a smile as Theo turned to face him. A brief, sweet kiss on his lips, and his hands were just stroking up and down the sides of Theo's neck and face, fiddling a little bit with his hair ... all right, Vinayak wasn't useless. In this moment, he wasn't useless at all, and it filled him with a sense of peace and comfort.
He shook his head in response to Theo's concerns. "No, of course not. It wasn't a tenable situation, and the other animals knew that, but they were having trouble coming up with a better plan. They had meetings all the time to try to figure out how to fix the whole Bhasuraka situation, but they couldn't come up with something that would work without simply enraging the lion.
"Finally, it came time for the oldest, wisest rabbit to have his turn. He didn't want to go be eaten, of course, and as he made his way to the lion's den, he came up with a plan of his own. Because he was old, he was a bit slow, and he arrived late. Bhasuraka was very angry; he wasn't used to having to wait, and of course he was a very arrogant forest king." Vinayak's hands continued to wander, caressing Theo's arms and his hips before traveling upward again, simply seeking to provide comfort.
"So when the wise old rabbit arrived, Bhasuraka yelled and berated him for his lateness. But the rabbit said, 'Now, wait a minute, Bhasuraka. It isn't my fault that I was late. You see, there were six of us on the way here, but we ran into a different lion. And he said that he was the king of the forest, and he ate all of my traveling companions. I only barely escaped.'
"Now, of course, this news made Bhasuraka even angrier, and he demanded to be taken to meet the impostor."

When he turned around he was greeted with a gentle kiss on his lips which made him smile and his eyes close. Fingers were gently running over him, brushing back his hair and just teasing at the skin which made him move slightly more into Vinayak. This right here was every reason why he loved this boy. He was so well read and smart and he knew just what to do to calm him down and he was so very very handsome. Vinayak was perfect for him in every little way.
And so the story continued and with each words he felt himself becoming more and more invested. Theo felt bad that the animals had no idea what to do without angering Bhasuraka. He feared for the little old rabbit that was slow making his way to the den of the beast. You know though Theo couldn't help but think that this story wasn't as scary as some of the western fairy tales his step mother would tell him. Because by this point, hansel and gretel would have already been eaten.
Theo wasn't expecting the rabbit to lie to the Lion, a very bold thing to do. And Bhasuraka bought it as well, demanding to go and see this other lion that was eating his food. "But is there another Lion? And one the rabbit is caught telling a lie will he not be eaten?"

Theo moved closer, and Vinayak's arms were completely ready to wrap around him and hold him close. Impotent rage boiled in his belly, but he did his best to press it down. He couldn't do anything to Aedan; if he even tried, he'd likely end up dead. They just had to count on the fact that they were smarter and that time would allow their intelligence to triumph over Aedan's cruel brutality.
Just like the wise old rabbit and the terrible lion.
"No," he replied, "there was no other lion. But, you see, the rabbit had thought his plan through very well. Once Bhasuraka demanded to be brought to where his rival lived, the rabbit began leading him deep into the forest. It was difficult passage for the lion. The underbrush was thick and tangled, and their pace was very slow because Bhasuraka couldn't use the same pathways that the smaller animals used. That's how the rabbit knew that the lion would have no idea about the deep well he was being led to.
"When they finally arrived, the rabbit pointed at the well and said, 'The other lion lives in that hole. He has a vast underground cave where he takes all the animals he wants to eat.' Bhasuraka approached the well, fuming with rage, and he looked over the edge and down the hole. There he saw the face of another lion staring right at him. Bhasuraka snarled, and so did the other lion. The other lion was clearly not afraid, so Bhasuraka leapt into the hole to fight the other lion to the death.
"And so Bhasuraka drowned, and the wise old rabbit went back to the other animals and told them the good news. And even though many of them had died, and they had all lived in fear ... even though it took a long, long time ... in the end, intelligence won out over cruelty and violence."

Theo smiled softly as he was pulled in even closer, perfect really. This was exactly what he needed and the reason why he refused to stay in the hospital. No potions or spells could compare to the comfort this was giving him. And he knew deep down that Vinayak probably wanted nothing more than to run off and beat Aedan up but he also knew that Vinayak was smart enough to just stay here where it's safe. Nothing can hurt them behind this locked door.
Now back to the story, Theo was still nervous and unsure if the rabbit would get away. He didn't know where he was taking this but well... He had to trust in the wise old rabbit. That he knew exactly what he was doing and where he was taking the Lion. Still there was a part in the back of his brain that was telling him this story couldn't end well, everything pointed to the demise of the rabbit. And then Bhasuraka would head back to the rest of the animals and kill them all because he was that angry. Maybe the rabbit would have been better off not saying anything at all...
But no it all ended on a good note. Bhasuraka drowned because he was to vain and proud to realize what was happening and Theo smiled as he kissed Vinayak on the lips. "That was a lovely story love." He said snuggling up close. "It's nice to hear one where wit and smarts win out at the end of the day because it certainly doesn't seem like it always does."

Ah, well, he'd gotten a smile out of his love. That was always good. Vinayak returned the kiss gladly, then rolled from his side onto his back, tugging Theo so that the other boy's head rested on his chest. Vinayak held on tightly, rubbing little circles against Theo's back. "I'm glad you like it," he replied. "My mom always meant it to be comforting, even though it frustrated me that my supposedly inevitable triumph never came around. But I know she meant well. Maybe after we graduate, that'll be when intelligence becomes more important than brutality. Well ... for you, at least."
He couldn't help but think of his father, a widely respected doctor back in India who was barely trusted to take temperatures in the United States. It had taken him so many years so earn even the smallest measure of respect. Why hadn't they just stayed home?
Well, there was no Theo back in India, so at least there was one good thing for him here. One very, very good thing.
One of his hands started to wander, making its way down toward the waistband of Theo's pants. One finger dipped between fabric and skin to trail along Theo's waist. "Maybe I could make you feel better in a different way?"

"And for you, you will only have to wait one more year." He said with another gently kiss being pressed to the man's lips as he smiled softly. "And I think intelligence has always been more important, it just can't win every fight." A small sigh left his lips as he snuggled against his lover. He wished that wasn't the case, he wished he could have talked his way out of every fight he had ever gotten himself into but he couldn't. Sometimes he had to fight fight, and sadly he had never been one for that. He made the mistake of being born well this way, and being much more skilled with hair and makeup and reading that with dueling.
But then again, if he was born a different way there would have been a Vinayak in his life. So maybe it was a good thing that God made him this way even if this life caused a lot more heartache than anything else, it was worth it. Because this man laid beside him almost every night.
He felt a hand start to wander below the top hem of his pants, one finger dipping into his pants and running over his skin which made his face become flush and his cock start to harder. He always wished it took a little more than these simple touches to get him hard but hey, his body knew what it wanted and it wanted Vinayak to touch him more. "Could you?" He asked with a smile, pressing himself against the other boys body so he could feel him.

"Right," Vinayak said with a bit of a sardonic chuckle. "Only one more year, and then I get to go out into the same world that demeans my father's skills merely because of his skin color. ... Promise me you'll experience enough success for the both of us, because I really don't know what will happen to me after school." That was kind of an unpleasant thing to have to say, but it was honest. That was truly how he felt, based on his prior experiences. And if there was anybody he could be completely honest with, it was Theo.
Regardless, he didn't have to dwell long on such unfortunate thoughts, because Theo got a mischievous smile on his face and pressed himself even closer so that Vinayak could feel how his body had responded to his suggestion. Excellent, so he was interested. Vinayak could be even more helpful than he already had been.
Grinning, he pushed against Theo's shoulder to flip the other boy onto his back, then pressed several kisses against the side of his neck. "I think I can," he replied, nuzzling against the base of Theo's neck as his fingers went to work unbuckling his belt. "And it feels like you want me to."
He didn't feel nearly as nervous this time! Not even nervous at all, really. After all, he knew now that he could do it well enough, and he knew exactly what Theo looked like and what he tasted like and what he enjoyed. He felt brave enough now even to experiment.
With a sharp tug, Vinayak had Theo's pants down and a hand around his erection. Kind of funny that he hadn't opened his shirt, really. He just wanted so badly to get to where he could really make his love feel better. One hand started fumbling with the shirt buttons, popping them open as best he could one-handed.

"Hush don't talk like that. Times are changing you know and maybe within a few years no one will be looking at the colour of your skin. They will just see the wonderful, perfect boy that I see." Though part of Theo knew that that was nothing more than a dream that was a long way off from happening, but he felt like it needed to be said. There is always hope in the future that things will be different, there has to be. And he wanted to see some joy for that future in his lovers eyes. He knew that this was all based on experienced he has had before and Theo wished he could do anything to make it that it wasn't so.
That being said the two clearly had other things on their mind so any and all sad topic were dropped and replaced with touches and kisses so warm and needy, Theo was sure he was already melting into the mattress below them. He was flipped onto his back, his belt starting to come off as he was covered in kisses. And this time there was no nervous energy in the air. They both now knew each other bodies, what sort of things worked and what didn't and Vinayak knew exactly what worked.
He had already pulled off his pants, exposing his already hard cock. A hand wrapped around it causing him to moan as he felt the button of his shirt being tugged apart, exposing his chest. His fingers ran into Vinayak's hair and gave a small tug. "I love you..."
